Teams with fog

Should be able to check on my teammate

I wonder if this is only certain team games? Like 2v2v2 or more? My P and I have been able to see each other all the time in 2v2 games when one dies. Also, even in the other games, but usually then it is down to 2v2 as the other teams are dead.
