20 questions sign-up and game thread

this mafia type game should be less intense as some of the previous ones. - this is a non-elimination game with one winner. - the basics are that you get 20 yes/no questions to ask me to help figure out the identity of other players. one per phase/day - if you ask me the exact identity of another player - then you immediately get another question and an extra question for the next 2 phases - unlimited PM chat and forum chat is allowed (include me in all PMs so i can have fun watching you lie) - you can reveal your identity to any and all but be careful - you will have 1 point deducted from your total for each player over 3 that has your identity. this is to discourage players like me from wanting to swap your name w everybody - also, if more than 3 players have the identity of a player = all players with that correct I.D. get a point deducted. this is also to discourage players like me from wanting to so freely swap info on others w everybody - any yes/no question to help you with the identity of a player or players is allowed - i will put the most creative question asked each day in the forum - without names. - knowing your own name does not count as a point - i will supply a long list of possible names. all will be male and sports related. - be sure your questions are what you want - for instance, if i ask "is TLM from Europe?" what does that mean? a better question might be "is TLM a USA citizen?" or "was TLM born in Europe?" - if i don't know the answer = i will google it and go with whatever google says. - scoring - - at the end of 20 days, you will give me a list of who you think is who. if you have 6 right (+6) but 5 players know your identity (-2), and one of the players names you know is TLM but 5 others know my name also (-1) = 6 -2 -1 = 3 here is the list of potential names - you will be randomly assigned 1 of these (sorry but most of these are known by Americans since i 1st made up this game for my Bible study class at church). it will be strictly random with no regard to sport. 1 - Tiger Woods 2 - Greg Norman 3 - Jack Nicklaus 4 - Pete Maravich 5 - Michael Jordan 6 - Shaquille O'Neal 7 - Barry Bonds 8 - Babe Ruth 9 - Ichiro Suzuki 10 - Arthur Ashe 11 - Roger Federer 12 - John McEnroe 13 - Mark Spitz 14 - Johnny Weissmuller 15 - Michael Phelps 16 - Rocky Marciano 17 - Mike Tyson 18 - Muhammad Ali 19 - Secretariat 20 - Man of War 21 - Seabiscuit 22 - Jesse Owens 23 - Usain Bolt 24 - Eric Liddell Phase will end/switch at 01:00 game clock time which is 8 pm central time USA [b][u]or[/u][/b] whenever all players have asked there question for the day and it has been answered - which ever comes first. therefore the phase could end early however nobody will be cut off from the original phase end time due to an early start. I don't think it's for me. I'm a big sports fan - but not being an American there are a few of those names I've never heard of! Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus - that's fine. But Pete Maravich? Shaquille O'Neil? Barry Bonds? I've heard of Billy Bonds - he played centre-half for West Ham United in the 1970s - but Barry Bonds, no. Have fun.
