one thing you can be thinking about is draft position. i like to give players a choice. so you will each submit to me in private your preferred draft positions.
for instance, i might say i want to pick 1st. if i don't get 1st then i want 2nd. if i don't get 1st or 2nd then i want to be last. and if none of those work out just give me somewhere in the middle = 1, 2, last , middle. if 4 other players say their 1st choice is 1st = then a random drawing will be held to determine who picks 1st. if somebody chooses 2nd pick as their 1st choice and nobody else did = then they would draft 2nd. if 2 people said they wanted to pick last as their preferred 1st choice - then i would slip to hopefully getting to draft somewhere near the middle.

but if i said i wanted 3, 4, next to last, bottom 3 and nobody else picked position 3 as their 1st choice = then i would draft 3rd.
everybody will compete for their #1 position 1st and then if they don't get it - their second choice if it is still available and so forth.
i will make my draft order preferences and stick w them before i ask for yours so that i am not basing anything off of inside information.
when the time comes, you can state your preferences publicly if you want to or not. idk how it might affect how others will pick.
if you have no preference, then just tell me that also and you will randomly be assigned a draft position from the left over spots. same if you do not get any of your 1st four picks (but that rarely happens).

the season starts sept 4 on a Thursday so i propose we draft either the prior Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday = Aug. 28, 29, 30, 31. let me know if any of these are not good for you. i would suggest 8 pm central time but that is also flexible. on-line draft should take about an hour. you can set to auto draft also and the computer will likely pick a better team than you will

there are 18 weeks of games but i have left off the final week since some players are benched the final game if their divisions have already been decided making it somewhat unfair. and i set the playoffs to be the top 4 teams playing 2 weeks each round.

the pool will go to those who participated. all teams continue to play even if you are not in the top 4 - there will be a separate ranking for those in the pool - and some will wish they had paid the piper
