The topic are river basins of volga and don rivers and some little adjacent rivers. The bonuses are made in a similar way as in italy map.

127 territories and 26 regions. You can try out the map, its in beta stage and accecable!

The river and +3 region (Somovo, Semiluki, Repyovka, Rossosh, Kamenka) are the same color.. confusing.

note to myself:
also, i think it could be nice to add names to the regions on the minimap. the map is big and the land is foreign to many people and ofc to make communation between players better.

alright, here is the updated small version of the map.

i changed the color as seth requested, re-made the ports so that they dont look blirred and i found a way to mark the regions names, i basicky did it the way hoodlum did it on dragonport map. the problem is here is that the original names and the regions names that were added into system are different from the regions name that i choose here. i went for the easiest names, usually choosing the territories that have an anchor to become regions name, for example "tsagan aman", although the regions real name is "kalmykia".

ports, they neutralize fog of war in many ways, it takes me an incredibly long time to calculate the possible moves, if I was dedicated, I also play this map just swimming around and waiting for someone to fail.. with this map, you push the limits of insanity, nothing else.
try with 600 ports next time

Love the ports on this map and that each region has at least one port. Makes for interesting gameplay with lots of mobility around the map but also some unexpected pinch points. The port bonuses add an extra level of strategy. Is great with capped cards and fog.

one of my fav maps. big map that will work with 12 players if we ever get that happening.
i know there is discussion to eliminate the ports in the yellow area, but then that would mean it is the only area that would have no ports.
possibly just get rid of the grey port (is it violet?) in the yellow area?
also Violet is spelt wrong. it doesn't have 2 t's... unless it does have 2 t's in the russian language?

alright, this would be the updated version. i basicly removed ports from the yellow regions in north east. also removed color names such as violet, pink etc, cuz now there are 6 of each ports. the interconnectivity is slightly reduced. i had played some fog games and i think the yellow region should be port free to prevent white and violet/gray ports touching each other in the same region.
i think the degre of interconnectivity is okay now and enough to counter balance the hose/tube shape of the map.

also thanks for the feedback, even if you dont like the map, its nice to know it. a honest opinion is important to me!
