I could rephrase that sentence as follows:
"Striped areas will grant you a bonus only if held together with one or both adjacent regions of the same colors."
Maybe this would sound simpler and clearer.

Imo the new writing looks much much better than the previous!

I woud play around with the white lines and look how it looks if you replace it with white dots. In this case dots could look a bit better.

Maybe the upper title could be a slightly smaller, due to dimensions: you made the boston and NY writings smaller and now maybe this headline must become smaller a bit to remain proportional.

There are still many things to fix, but I wanted to show the new title in first place.

Thanks @Dima for your comment and suggestions. The upper title is the correct geographic definition of this map, "Boston" and "New York City" are just two territory labels that serve as title to make it simpler. Yes, perhaps the upper title a bit smaller may look better. I'm not a huge fan of the dotted lines, I rather like well-visible dashed lines, I'll try to change them anyway.

I could have sent you the images Dima, but for now I'm trying to finish it by myself,.. You have already too many maps in developement!

hmm, imo you use way too much different writing styles, the red frame isnt that good, and the different color of the river vs the ocean is wierd, and the lines look also wierdm

i tried to re arrange some things, maybe u like it and can use as inspiration.

the skyline is optional, i only triedbto full the empty space in the bottom.

i made the frame silver, but dark green could be good aswell.

i changed the lines with cream colored dots with dark green frame.

@Dima: No, not much inspiration, but thank you anyway for your suggestions. The title of the map is "Boston – New York City", perhaps you forgot that fact, and that fake AI-generated image of New York is just too fake and too trivial for my taste. In any case the images have to be 2: one of Boston and one of NYC, otherwise it doesn't make sense.

My favourite one is the version without any images. I also proposed a version with images for those who like that kind of things, but I'm not a fan of it myself.
