Riddle

This fits, but probably isn't what tram wanted: [spoiler]a Photon - photons are created by electron proton elimination or some other photoelectric event, and are absorbed into matter later, thus having a finite lifespan, they are everywhere. You can see light, you can feel heat, you can capture them in nuclear reactions, you cannot taste or smell them. At resonant region of neutron absorption in fission reactions, photons even get smaller as they are absorbed.[/spoiler] [spoiler=@otherAnswers]water and fire and warmth aren't everywhere on earth.[/spoiler]

This thing is right there with every one of you and there is no getting away from it even if you lack the ability to prove it's existence with one sense, you will be able to with another, even the pinball wizard could prove it's existence. There is one key element in the riddle that everything else centres around and was and is our reason for finding other ways to experience it, utilise it, use it and learn about it & it more or less says the answer. The only place it can't exist, neither can we.[/spoiler]
