I also like to play them as a test game. After a few trials I would have a good sense if it is balanced or not. It's the only way we will truly know. Also, I certainly don't expect to have upto 9 players....I actually tried putting 9 caps on this thing and it wasn't working....so I decided to try 2 players first and work our way up.  Having some caps is better than none. :)  I think we can get there.

I agree to test the capitals and can't wait for it actually!
However it's always better with capitals placements to collect multiple suggestions and compare them.
The map is security locked and we do not want to edit it 20 times unlocking and re-locking each time (a wrong edit might cause bugs to the games in progress) so better to have clear ideas and edit it only once.

It would be interesting also to see some suggestions for 5 and 6 players possibly. I know it's hard with this map, but let's try!

Well, if no other suggestions are coming, I think we can implement those proposed for 2, 3 and 4 players.
Anyway it's hard to do more than that in such a special map!

REQUEST: Can some Programmers or Admins or Head Cartographer unlock the map for me, please? So that I can implement the new capitals.

cool...gonna try them out and i'll get back to you :)

it's ok if we can't get the 7-9 caps...as long as we have some...to make it interesting!

Playing cap's on this map is quite interesting, but be careful, often you cannot come back home!

Oh no! I was setting a game and have just noticed I made a mistake with 6 cap's placement... Argh
It was White Russia not Little Russia! It can't stay like this.

REQUEST: Can some Programmers unlock the map for me, please? So that I can fix the mistake, thanks.

#1. "Burgandy is a very common spelling error among Americans" (quote from WordReference forum).
Such a common misspelling that even Wikipedia redirect Burgandy to Burgundy. The correct name in fact is Burgundy.

#2. I find annoying not to have a one-way connection from Norway to Scotland, because 'British Isles' is already the easiest bonus to grab and who holds it can easily and freely push their troops from Scotland to Denmark, so preventing another player to get a bonus in 'Scandinavia'. Please note that the addition of that one-way connection would not modify the defensibility of the 2 regions and it would respect the general rules of the map: specifically "Artillery cannot attack Infantry".

#3. Given the historical context, United Kingdom would be a more suitable region name rather than British Isles.

burgundy is the spelling on the card, if im not mistaken, but burgandy on the map. please change it, it's annoying!
As for #3 - on which map are you talking about changing it?

I'm talking about Europe 1814, I have just noticed in the game log that the region/command is called "British Isles"...
United Kindom is the correct political name, as it was in 1814. (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland)

I'll try to fix the graphic mispelling on Burgundy.

Yes, in 1814 Ireland was part of the United Kingdom, so renaming the region to United Kingdom is fine by me. Burgandy to Burgundy would be good too.

Gameplay changes should be consulted with veterans of this map - it has been unchanged for over a decade, so why the sudden need to change it? I've never played this map so can't comment on the gameplay.
